About

Guitarist and Steel Drummer Michael McMorrow has performed at many of the Bay Area's top venues, including Great American Music Hall, Bruno's, and Fillmore Jazz Festival. For several years, his guitar stylings and arranging skills were an integral part of the lounge stylings of local favorites Project Pimento. During his tenure, the band was twice nominated for SF Weekly Music Awards, performed at the SF Weekly Music Awards show, the Northern California Emmy Awards show, and was featured on XM satellite radio.

As a guitarist,steel drummer and bandleader, he provides exotic music for events all over the region, at locations including San Francisco City Hall, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Palace of Fine Arts, Sonoma Mission Inn, St. Francis Hotel, Carnelian Room, Sunset Magazine Idea Home and the San Jose Convention Center.

I offer a full complement of musical services, from solo steel drum and guitar to a full band. Because the number of musicians hired is a primary factor in cost, the "scalable band" concept gives my clients a range of good choices.

Steel Drum and Guitar	Steel drum and guitar with accompaniment. This option gives a full band sound, but with a small footprint. Apocalypso Now!	Great danceable repertoire of Caribbean, Latin, Brazilian and Jazz Standards, performed by three outstanding multi-instrumentalists. From three players you get a big sound, with steel drums, percussion, nylon string guitar, classic electric guitar, and the island sounds of the uke! Go Hawaiian!	Fantastic repertoire of Hawaiian classics, with a great front man, plus a graceful Hula dancer. You get: Vocalist Steel Drum Ukelele Steel Guitar Hula dancer!
Solo Jazz Guitar	Lush fingerstyle jazz guitar arrangements. I am often hired to perform at weddings.
Jazz Combo with Vocalist	Jazz vocals, with your choice of accompaniment (duo, trio, combo)
